An exquisite cherub pin?from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is made of sterling-topped 14kt yellow gold and has a beautiful and artistic design. The piece features a sweet cherub's face at the center, resting between a set of feathered angel wings. The face is carved from art glass and is bezel set above a foil-backed setting. The carved angelic details are wonderful,?depicting fine facial features and curled hair in 3-dimensional detail. The shimmery foil backing shows through?the translucent art glass, giving a beautiful iridescent?appearance to the piece, with soft flashes of pink and violet colors. Both wings are beautifully layered, depicting individual feathers that span out to the sides. The feathers are silver-topped and encrusted with delicate rose cut diamonds, sparkling at every turn!?A gold bar pin is hidden on the back of the piece behind the wings, perfect for fastening it?to a favorite garment.?A spectacular Victorian era brooch, it looks marvelous in person and would make a special addition to any antique collection!
Measurements:?The?pin has a?2 1/4" wingspan, measures 1/2" tall, and is 1/4" at the thickest point.
